Registrations for the 2015 AFL Women's Draft nominations are now open! Click here to register.
Clubs will be selecting 16 players plus 1 emergency player each. All players over the age of 17 are eligible to nominate.
Players who were delisted are able to nominate again, new players who haven’t been involved before are encouraged to nominate.
In 2014, WA achieved 15 players (6 players were retained from 2013 + 9 new ones were added) in the Draft with 3 coaches.
In 2015 the following WA players have been retained; Melbourne FC – Chelsea Randall, Kirby Bentley, Kara Donnellan
2015 also showcases 4 WA coaches who have been appointed;
- Melbourne FC Head Coach – Michelle Cowan
- Melbourne FC Assist Coach – Martine Pearman
- Western Bulldogs FC Assist Coach – Nikki Harwood
- Western Bulldogs FC Assist Coach – Nicole Graves
Nominations close on 27/02/15 so encourage players to complete their nomination asap.
Note: Players involved in the U18 Youth Girls or who show outstanding form at State and All Star games will get the opportunity to be involved in a mini draft for the 2nd game in August where they may be selected. 12 players will be selected in the mini draft.
